Changepoint to Demo Daptiv PPM and BMC Software Integration Capabilities at BMC Engage

As we begin to settle into the Fall season, the Changepoint team is heading to Las Vegas, NV to attend BMC Software’s BMC Engage IT Conference. While we’re there we’ll demonstrate the unique benefits of Daptiv PPM’s exclusive integration with BMC Software’s Remedy IT Service Management (ITSM) solutions. BMC Software, the global leader in software solutions for IT, named Daptiv PPM its preferred PPM solution a little over one year ago in March 2014. Since then we have integrated Daptiv PPM’s technology with Remedy, which now allows users of either product to seamlessly initiate, assign, and monitor tasks within one product, while providing valuable status reports to each other.

Together with BMC Remedy we’re able to provide businesses with a tool that streamlines communication between two robust products while eliminating duplicative data entry. Customers of both Daptiv PPM and Remedy benefit from a set of features we designed to increase efficiency, accuracy, and the ability to prioritize projects and requests, including:

  • Service Request Integration – Allows BMC Remedy users to create service requests that are translated into Daptiv PPM project requests. This allows project managers to strategically prioritize, initiate, and manage requests within Daptiv PPM while providing updates to BMC Remedy users without accessing or inserting data into multiple programs.
  • Change Request Integration– Enables project managers using Daptiv PPM to initiate change requests, which are received by IT managers through BMC Remedy. The IT managers then have the ability to prioritize requests and assign the most appropriate IT resource to complete them, all while keeping project managers updated through data and status reports.
  • Release Request Integration – Transfers project managers’ release requests made within Daptiv PPM to IT managers using BMC Remedy. After receiving these release requests IT managers are able to identify the top priority requests and assign IT resources to complete them. Throughout this process project managers are able to continually communicate with the IT managers, and receive status updates on their requests within Daptiv PPM.
